Fox Revives ‘Name That Tune’ With Jane Krakowski, Randy Jackson

The network is pairing the show with flagship The Masked Singer, premiering it out of the latter’s fifth-season launch on Jan. 6. Created by Harr Salter, the original Name That Tune began as a radio program in 1952, crossing over to television the following year and airing in various incarnations through 1985. It makes sense that Fox would continue to explore the unscripted music space.

The Masked Singer has been a ratings boon the broadcast network. And with fewer original offerings on the dial during the COVID-19 pandemic, unscripted efforts are more appealing than ever. Recent Fox launch I Can See Your Voice has proven to be a solid enough partner with the current fall cycle of The Masked Singer. The new Name That Tune is being produced by in-house studio Fox Alternative Entertainment, Prestige Entertainment and Eureka Productions.
