CNCO’s ‘Deja Vu’ Is This Week’s Favorite New Music

For Deja Vu, CNCO’s Christopher, Erick, Joel, Richard and Zabdiel each handpicked their personal favorite cover songs. The quintet takes on tracks like Enrique Iglesias’ “Hero” and Sin Bandera’s “Entra En Mi Vida” with a mix of reverence and invention, honoring the originals while utilizing different harmonies to amplify their power.

“At the beginning of quarantine, we took some time off since we had been traveling a lot these past few years,” CNCO says. “We were able to reconnect with our families and reflect on all we’ve achieved and look back at the music that inspired us to get where we are. We decided to have fun and bring back these classics, with the CNCO touch.”

Billboard recently spoke with CNCO about Deja Vu, where the group broke down six tracks from the tribute album. Read the story here.

Placing second on the past week’s tally with nearly 3% of the vote was Cardi B’s high-energy new song “Up,” which follows her Billboard Hot 100-topping hit “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion. “Up” is a slice of smoking-hot NSFW rhymes, accompanied by an over-the-top music video featuring stunning visuals and tons of costume changes.
