Cher, Kylie Minogue, Mel C, Lenny Kravitz Cover ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’ For BBC Children in Need

Cher, Kylie Minogue, Mel C, Lenny Kravitz and many more will appear on the upcoming BBC Children in Need charity cover of Oasis’ 2002 single “Stop Crying Your Heart Out.” The song to raise funds for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK will also feature Ava Max, Nile Rodgers, Lauv, Robbie Williams, Gregory Porter, Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne, Bryan Adams and a backing track featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra and Anoushka Shankar on sitar.

The single will be released by Decca Records on the day of the charity’s fundraising event on Friday (Nov. 13). It was recorded in a variety of locations, with Cher recorded in Malibu, California, Williams in Switzerland, Jay Sean in New York and Yola in Nashville, with production by Grammy-winning producers Mark Taylor and Brian Rawling (Cher’s “Believe”). The song will be broadcast for the first time on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Radio 2 on Friday; the video will debut on the BBC Children in Need’s 2020 Appeal Show on BBC One that evening.

“I felt very emotional recording this song, it was very important to me,” Cher said in a statement, with Kravitz adding, “We are living in a time when children need all the support they can get and so it is a pleasure to be collaborating with so many great artists for such an important cause. I hope this song reminds everyone that we are all in this together and we can make a difference.”
