Celeste, Olivia Rodrigo On Track For U.K. Chart Crowns

Celeste’s LP outsells all other titles in physical and digital formats this past weekend, and if it holds its edge, Celeste will become the latest in a growing membership of BRITs Rising Star (previously BRITs Critics’ Choice) recipients to have No. 1 debut albums, a list that includes Adele, Ellie Goulding, Sam Fender and Rag’n’Bone Man.

Not Your Muse leads an all-new Top Four at the midweek point, ahead of The Future Bites, Arlo Parks’ Collapsed In Sunbeams (Transgressive) and Fredo’s Money Can’t Buy Happiness (Since 93), respectively, while Harry Styles’ Fine Line (Columbia) lifts 6-5.

Also, new releases from Chip (Snakes & Ladders via Cash Motto at No. 6) and Goat Girl (On All Fours via Rough Trade at No. 7) are targeting Top 10 berths.

Over in the U.K. singles chart race, Olivia Rodrigo stays out in front with “Drivers License” (Interscope), ahead of Fredo’s “Money Talks” (Dave Neighbourhood/Since 93) featuring Dave, new at No. 2. “Drivers License” is motoring to a fourth consecutive chart title.

The Official U.K. Singles and Albums Charts are published late Friday, local time.
