Watch Tom Grennan’s Cover of Billie Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes”

Hi, can we please take a minute to discuss the absolute delight that is Tom Grennan’s cover of Billie Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes?” Grennan stopped by Phil Taggart’s Chillest Show on BBC Radio 1 to perform his stripped-back version of the song, and wow. Grennan’s raspy voice with the soft piano accompaniment is a total match made in heaven and a stunning take on the beautiful original song.

Fans were quick to show their love for the cover. “How is your voice gonna do that raspy stuff like woah šŸ˜ gives the song a whole other vibe and I’m here for it šŸ‘ŒšŸ»” one commenter wrote. Another person kept it short but sweet: “One of the best covers.” The cover comes after Grennan announced the release of his second studio album, Evering Road, which will be out March 2021.

So, do yourself a favor: go make yourself a cup of tea and take three minutes to listen to this absolute dream of a cover. Our only wish? That the song was longer.
